It's become a sort of tradition when Miranda does a play that I create a display for the table in the lobby.
Her latest play is Into the Woods and this is what I was able to come up with....
Books to represent each of the main characters. I found plain covered books and cut the new title out in vinyl to put on the front.
I'd been dying to try out this idea of using real twigs behind a frame. This was the perfect play to do it with!
I then added a display of the 4 items they had to find to break the spell... A cow as white as milk (ok so I couldn't find a pure white cow, but he is cute) Cape as red as blood, slippers as pure as gold and hair as yellow as corn. I put these items flowing out from a box that looked like a book.
I put it all together and I was pretty happy with the results :)

Quaint Wedding Cake
A friend called and asked me to do a small cake for her brother's wedding that she was hosting at her house.
She gave me free rein to design whatever I wanted with the colors of Black, White and a hint of purple.
I had been wanting to try out a new flower technique so I took on the challenge!
Here is what I came up with...
The flowers, and cake were dusted with luster dust to give it that shimmer...
I was very happy with how it turned out. She originally wasn't going to put on a topper, but decided last minute to add one. Here is a photo she sent me with the topper in place.
I hadn't braced the top layer to hold the weight of the topper, so I was a bit disappointed when the side looked a little droopy. They seemed very happy with the design and the flavor.
